Yes β 100% free. Browsing settlements, reading eligibility details, and clicking through to file a claim directly are all free, always. We earn revenue through advertising and an optional filing assistance service.
You are never required to pay us anything to use the site or file a claim.
Each settlement has its own eligibility requirements, usually based on whether you:
- Purchased a specific product or used a specific service
- Had an account with the company during a certain date range
- Were affected by a specific incident (data breach, overcharge, etc.)
- Live in a specific state (some settlements are state-specific)
Every settlement on SettlementRadar includes a plain-English eligibility summary. If you match the description, you're likely eligible. When in doubt β just file. Submitting an ineligible claim is rarely penalized.
There are two ways to file:
- File yourself (free) β Click "File Your Claim" on any settlement listing. You'll be sent to the official claims administrator website to fill out the form directly. Takes 5β10 minutes.
- Let us file for you ($4.99) β We collect the required info (under 60 seconds) and handle the entire claim submission on your behalf.
Either way, the claim itself is free to submit β you only pay us if you want filing assistance.
"No Proof Required" means you don't need a receipt, bank statement, or any other documentation to file a valid claim.
You simply certify that you qualify (e.g., "I owned this product" or "I had an account during this period") and submit your name and contact details. The claims administrator takes your word for it.
These are the easiest claims to file β and the ones most people overlook. Browse all No-Proof settlements β
Yes β absolutely. There's no limit. If you qualify for 10 different settlements, you can file for all 10. Many active users file dozens of claims per year.
Each settlement is independent β filing for one has no effect on your eligibility for others. The key is meeting each settlement's individual requirements.
Pro tip: create an account to track all your filed claims in one place.
$4.99 flat per claim. That covers everything β we collect the required info, complete the form, and submit to the claims administrator on your behalf.
No hidden fees. No percentage of your payout. No surprises.
For settlements with expected payouts under $15, it's probably not worth it β just file yourself. For higher-value claims, filing assistance ensures no mistakes that get a claim rejected.
No. Class action claim filing is designed for everyday consumers. You don't need an attorney, and lawyers don't take a cut of your settlement payment.
The class attorneys who brought the lawsuit are paid separately from the settlement fund β that's already factored in before individual claims are calculated.
There are two ways to track your claim:
- SettlementRadar Claims Dashboard β If you have an account, go to My Claims to see every settlement you've filed for and current status updates.
- Claims administrator's website β The official settlement claims site (linked from each settlement page) often has its own status lookup tool. Check your confirmation email for that link.
Processing timelines vary by settlement. Most take 6β18 months from the filing deadline to issue payments.
After you file, the claims administrator reviews your submission. The timeline from there:
- Claims review period β Typically 1β6 months after the filing deadline closes
- Court approval β A judge gives final approval (if not already done)
- Distribution β Payments sent by check, PayPal, Venmo, or direct deposit
You'll receive a confirmation email when you file β keep that. Total wait time from filing to payment is usually 6 months to 2 years, depending on case complexity.
Unfortunately, missing the filing deadline means you forfeit your right to payment from that settlement. Deadlines are set by court order and claims administrators cannot accept late submissions.
To avoid missing deadlines: subscribe to our weekly digest β we'll email you about open settlements and upcoming deadlines every week.
It varies widely. The typical range is $5 to $500 per person, depending on:
- The total size of the settlement fund
- How many people file valid claims (more claimants = smaller individual share)
- Whether you can document a larger loss (receipts, account records)
- Whether the settlement has fixed payouts vs. pro-rata distribution
Every settlement listing on SettlementRadar shows the estimated payout range so you can decide if it's worth your time.
After you file, expect:
- Minimum: ~6 months (fast settlements, already court-approved)
- Typical: 12β18 months
- Complex cases: 2β4 years
Filing early doesn't make payment arrive faster β but missing the deadline means no payment at all.
Daily. Our scrapers run every morning pulling new settlements from TopClassActions, ClassAction.org, FTC.gov, CFPB.gov, Consumer Action, and more. New settlements are indexed the same day they're announced.
Subscribe to our weekly digest β we'll email you every new open claim so you never miss a payout.
Every settlement on SettlementRadar is sourced from verified outlets:
- TopClassActions.com β most widely read class action news site
- ClassAction.org β attorney-verified listings
- FTC.gov β Federal Trade Commission enforcement actions
- CFPB.gov β Consumer Financial Protection Bureau settlements
All settlements link back to the official claims portal. You never pay to access a settlement. Red flag: any site that requires payment before showing you a settlement.
