Affiliate Disclosure

1. What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that identifies SettlementRadar as the source of a referral. When you click an affiliate link on our site and complete a qualifying purchase or signup, we receive a commission from the company whose product or service you purchased.

The price you pay is never increased because of an affiliate link. In most cases, our affiliate relationships have no effect on the price you see at all.

2. Affiliate Programs We Participate In

SettlementRadar may participate in or earn commissions from the following types of affiliate relationships:

SettlementRadar Affiliate Program — We operate our own affiliate program, paying 30% recurring commissions to affiliates who refer Pro subscribers. Affiliates are disclosed on the Affiliate Program page.
Financial and legal tools — Links to financial planning tools, legal document services, or related products where we have affiliate arrangements.
Consumer protection resources — Links to identity monitoring, data breach protection, or other services relevant to class action settlement claimants.
Google AdSense — We display contextual ads served by Google. This is an advertising program, not a traditional affiliate relationship, but ad revenue is disclosed here for full transparency. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We will endeavor to label affiliate links with an "(affiliate link)" notation or include page-level disclosures where affiliate links are present. However, not every page may carry an individual link-level label; this page-level disclosure covers all affiliate links on SettlementRadar.

3. Our Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. We do not:

Inflate ratings or reviews of products because we earn a commission from them.
Omit negative information about products or services we promote.
Accept payment to feature or rank settlement information — our directory is based on public records only.
Allow advertisers or affiliate partners to dictate, review, or approve our editorial content before publication.

Our primary business is providing free, accurate information about class action settlements. Affiliate and advertising revenue helps us operate that free service. We have a financial incentive to recommend affiliate products, and we disclose that clearly.

4. Law Firm Advertising — Not a Referral Fee

SettlementRadar charges law firms for advertising and lead generation services. This is fundamentally different from attorney referral fees:

Fees are flat-rate monthly advertising fees — not contingent on attorney retention, case outcomes, or any legal results.
SettlementRadar does not refer clients to attorneys in any legal sense. We provide advertising placement that allows plaintiff-ready consumers to discover law firms independently.
We do not participate in attorney-client relationships, legal representation, or legal fee arrangements.
All fees from law firms are advertising services fees governed by our Terms of Service.

This structure is designed to comply with state bar rules on attorney fee-splitting and referral restrictions. SettlementRadar does not act as a lawyer referral service as defined by any state bar.

5. FTC Compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and the FTC's Endorsement Guides. The FTC requires that material connections between endorsers (including affiliates) and the products or services they endorse be clearly disclosed.

Filing assistance service fees ($9.99 per claim)
Pro subscription fees ($4.99–$9.99/mo)
Law firm advertising subscriptions ($500–$2,000/mo)
Employer plan subscriptions ($99–$499/mo)
Law Firm API access fees ($149–$999/mo)
Google AdSense contextual advertising
Newsletter sponsorships
Affiliate commissions from third-party products we link to

Where any of these revenue sources creates a material connection to content on our site, we disclose it. This page constitutes site-wide disclosure for affiliate links. Individual pages with significant affiliate content may carry additional per-page disclosures.

6. No Endorsement of Third-Party Sites

Links to third-party websites, whether affiliate or not, do not constitute an endorsement of those sites, their content, their products, or their owners. We are not responsible for the accuracy, content, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Before making any purchase or providing personal information to any third party, please review their own terms and privacy policy.
