1. What SettlementRadar Is
SettlementRadar ("we," "us," or "our") is an informational directory -- not a law firm, not a legal services provider, and not a substitute for professional legal advice. We aggregate publicly available information about class action settlements and consumer compensation programs to help people find money they may be owed.
Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, legal representation, or an attorney-client relationship. Settlement eligibility determinations are made by settlement administrators, not by SettlementRadar. If you need legal guidance, consult a licensed attorney.
2. Data Sources: Public Records Only
All settlement information on SettlementRadar is aggregated from publicly available sources, including but not limited to:
- Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filings, enforcement actions, and press releases
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) orders and announcements
- State attorney general enforcement actions and press releases
- Federal and state court dockets, class action notices, and court filings
- Official settlement administrator websites and CAFA notices
- Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) settlements
- Department of Justice (DOJ) consent decrees
We do not manufacture, alter, or create settlement information. Our aggregation, curation, and presentation layer is proprietary -- but the underlying public records belong to the public domain. We do not claim ownership of government documents or court filings.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SettlementRadar (including settlementradar.com and any related subdomains or services), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
4. No Guarantees of Accuracy, Completeness, or Timeliness
Settlement details change constantly. Deadlines get extended or shortened. Payout amounts fluctuate based on claim volume. Settlement websites go offline. Eligibility criteria change after court approval. We work to keep data current, but we cannot guarantee that any settlement listing reflects the most accurate, complete, or up-to-date information at the time you view it.
SettlementRadar expressly disclaims all warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information on this site, whether express, implied, or statutory.
5. Use at Your Own Risk
Your use of SettlementRadar and any action you take based on information found here is entirely at your own risk. SettlementRadar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind -- express, implied, or otherwise -- including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components. We do not warrant that defects will be corrected.
6. Filing Assistance -- Convenience Service Only
SettlementRadar's core directory is free. You can find any settlement on our site and file directly at the official settlement website at no cost. We also offer an optional paid filing assistance service -- we complete and submit your claim on your behalf using information you provide.
Filing assistance is a convenience service only. By purchasing filing assistance, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate, truthful, and complete.
- You authorize SettlementRadar to submit your claim to the relevant settlement administrator.
- We cannot guarantee claim approval. Approval decisions are made solely by the settlement administrator, not by us.
- We cannot guarantee any specific payout amount. Payouts depend on total claim volume, settlement fund size, and administrator calculations outside our control.
- Purchasing filing assistance does not increase your chance of approval or affect your payout compared to filing directly.
- All filing assistance purchases are non-refundable. See our Refund Policy for complete terms.
7. Subscriptions — Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Pro, Pro+, and Family subscriptions provide premium features including personalized alerts, saved claims, and advanced tools. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance and can be cancelled at any time from your account settings.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your access continues through the end of your current paid billing period.
- All subscription fees are non-refundable. No refunds or credits are issued for partial billing periods, unused time, or early cancellations.
- We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing at any time, without prior notice. See Section 20 for the full Pricing & Billing Policy.
For complete terms, see our Refund Policy.
8. Employer & Law Firm Services
SettlementRadar offers B2B subscription services for employers (employee settlement benefit programs) and law firms (API access and advertising). These are subject to these terms plus any additional written agreements at purchase.
9. User Responsibility to Verify Independently
Before taking any action based on information from SettlementRadar -- including filing a claim, providing personal information to a third party, or making financial decisions -- you are solely responsible for:
- Confirming the settlement is still active and accepting claims.
- Verifying the current filing deadline directly on the official settlement website.
- Confirming your eligibility with the settlement administrator.
- Reviewing the full claim form requirements on the official settlement website.
- Ensuring any personal information you submit to a settlement administrator is accurate.
10. Right to Modify or Remove Content
SettlementRadar reserves the right to add, modify, update, or remove any settlement listing, page, feature, or content at any time, without notice, and at our sole discretion. This includes:
- Removing or updating inaccurate or outdated settlement information.
- Adding new data sources or removing existing ones.
- Changing how settlements are categorized, scored, or displayed.
- Removing settlements that have closed, expired, or been resolved.
We are not obligated to maintain any specific settlement listing indefinitely. The absence of a settlement from our directory does not mean it is invalid or closed -- always check primary sources.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or inaccurate claim information.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from SettlementRadar without written permission.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that you do not own or are not authorized to access.
- Use the site to violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Impersonate any person, entity, or settlement administrator.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the site or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any SettlementRadar software.
- Use automated tools to submit fraudulent claims or game eligibility requirements.
We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms.
12. Intellectual Property
The SettlementRadar brand, logo, design, codebase, and the original presentation, organization, and curation of settlement data are owned by or licensed to SettlementRadar and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print individual pages for personal, non-commercial use.
We do not claim ownership of the underlying public records, government documents, or court filings we reference. Those belong to the public domain. Our claim is limited to the original creative work embodied in our platform, interface, and data organization.
All other reproduction, distribution, or commercial use requires prior written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SETTLEMENTRADAR AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE -- INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: MISSED FILING DEADLINES, REJECTED CLAIMS, INELIGIBILITY DETERMINATIONS, ERRORS IN SETTLEMENT DATA, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS OR RECOVERY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations on implied warranties or liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SettlementRadar and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use of SettlementRadar or any service offered through it.
- Your violation of these Terms of Service.
- Your submission of false, fraudulent, or inaccurate claim information to any settlement administrator.
- Any third-party claim arising from your conduct on or through the site.
- Any decisions or actions you take based on information found on SettlementRadar.
15. Affiliate Program & Partner Link Disclosure
SettlementRadar operates an affiliate program that pays commissions to affiliates who refer paying subscribers. Participation is subject to additional terms provided at signup.
FTC Disclosure: SettlementRadar participates in affiliate programs. Some links on our site are affiliate links -- if you click them and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These material connections are disclosed site-wide on our Affiliate Disclosure page and on individual pages where significant affiliate content appears, in compliance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255).
Affiliate program rules:
- Affiliates must not engage in deceptive, misleading, or spam marketing practices.
- Affiliates must clearly disclose their affiliate relationship when promoting SettlementRadar, consistent with FTC guidelines.
- Affiliates may not make claims about SettlementRadar's services that are not supported by our published materials.
- We reserve the right to withhold or claw back commissions for fraudulent, invalid, or policy-violating referrals.
- Affiliate accounts may be terminated for violations of these rules without notice.
16. Data Licensing & API Terms
SettlementRadar offers API access to its settlement data for law firms, employers, and enterprise clients under tiered subscription plans. Use of data obtained through the SettlementRadar API or any data licensing arrangement is subject to the following terms:
- No resale of raw data. Licensees may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit raw settlement data obtained through our API or any data licensing agreement without prior written permission from SettlementRadar.
- Attribution required. Any public-facing use of SettlementRadar data must include clear attribution: "Data provided by SettlementRadar (settlementradar.com)."
- Permitted use. Data may be used for internal analysis, client-facing legal research tools, and product features within the licensee's own platform, subject to the terms of the applicable subscription.
- No derivative databases. Licensees may not create standalone settlement databases or directories derived primarily from SettlementRadar data for competitive purposes.
- Rate limits. API usage is subject to rate limits specified in the applicable subscription tier. Excessive use that degrades service quality may result in suspension.
For enterprise licensing inquiries, contact contact@settlementradar.com.
Partner / Affiliate Link Disclosure (FTC Compliance): Some pages on SettlementRadar contain links to third-party products and services (such as credit monitoring, legal services, and tax preparation tools). SettlementRadar may earn a commission or referral fee when users click these links and make a purchase or sign up for a service. These partnerships do not influence our settlement data, editorial content, or which settlements we list. We only link to services we believe may be genuinely useful to our users given the type of settlement they are viewing. Partner links are labeled with an "Affiliate disclosure" notice where they appear.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of SettlementRadar shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration -- not in a class action or class arbitration. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that does not permit mandatory arbitration for consumer disputes, the above arbitration clause may not apply to you.
18. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19. Refund Policy
All purchases are final. We do not issue refunds, credits, or honor chargebacks except in the case of a verified service failure on our end that we cannot resolve.
Subscriptions (Pro, Pro+, Family, Annual Plans)
Subscriptions are non-refundable under any circumstances. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings — cancellation stops future billing, but no refund is issued for the current or any previous billing period. Access continues through the end of your paid billing cycle.
One-Time Payments (Filing Assistance $12.99, Guided Filing $24.99)
One-time service fees are non-refundable. The sole exception is if SettlementRadar fails to deliver the purchased service due to a verified technical issue on our end that we are unable to resolve — in that case, a refund may be issued at our sole discretion. Contact contact@settlementradar.com with your order details within 7 days of purchase.
For full details, see our Refund Policy page.
20. Pricing & Billing Policy
SettlementRadar reserves the right to modify pricing for any product, subscription, or service at any time, without prior notice.
No Grandfathering
All active subscriptions and future renewals are subject to current pricing at the time of renewal. Previous pricing tiers, promotional rates, or legacy plans are not guaranteed and may be updated to reflect current rates upon your next billing cycle. By continuing to use SettlementRadar after a pricing change, you accept the updated pricing.
Your Right to Cancel
If you do not agree with a pricing change, you may cancel your subscription. Upon cancellation, your access continues through the end of your current paid billing period. See Section 19 (Refund Policy) for cancellation terms.
