1. Who We Are
SettlementRadar is a class action settlement aggregator and filing assistance service at settlementradar.com. We help consumers discover open class action settlements, check eligibility, and optionally file claims. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
For any privacy questions, rights requests, or data deletion requests, contact us at contact@settlementradar.com.
2. What Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Email address -- when you subscribe to settlement alerts, create an account, use the filing alert signup, or contact us.
- Name and mailing address -- only when you use our paid filing assistance service. Required to submit your claim to the settlement administrator.
- State and brand preferences -- when you use the settlement matcher or eligibility quiz. Used to personalize your settlement matches.
- Filed claim information -- when you log claims or use tracking features. Stored in your account to help you track deadlines and status.
- User-generated stories -- if you voluntarily submit a settlement success story. Stored with your submission email for verification and spam prevention.
Information Collected Automatically
- Search queries -- we log search terms entered on SettlementRadar to improve search relevance and understand user intent. These are associated with sessions, not individual identities.
- Pages visited and navigation patterns -- which pages you view, how long you stay, and how you navigate between pages.
- IP address and approximate location -- used for security, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics (not sold or shared for targeting).
- Browser type, device type, and operating system -- used for compatibility and performance optimization.
- Referrer URL -- the page or site that directed you to SettlementRadar.
- Cookies and local storage -- see the Cookies section below.
Payment Information
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking credentials. Stripe handles all payment data under their own PCI-compliant infrastructure. We receive only a payment confirmation token and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (tracking ID: G-7RNYE2FBM1) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Traffic source (search, direct, referral, social)
- Device type and browser
- Approximate geographic location (country/region level)
- Events such as searches performed, settlements viewed, and alert signups
Google Analytics uses cookies (including _ga and _ga_XXXXXXXX) to distinguish users and sessions. Data is sent to Google's servers and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use your browser's privacy settings.
4. Meta (Facebook) Pixel
SettlementRadar uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) on all pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The pixel collects information about actions taken on our site (such as page views, lead form completions, and purchases) and may associate this information with your Facebook/Instagram profile if you are logged into those services.
Meta Pixel may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. Data collected is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy. To opt out of Meta's use of your data for advertising, visit Meta Ad Preferences or use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool.
5. Web Push Notifications
SettlementRadar offers optional browser-based push notifications to alert you when new settlements are added or deadlines are approaching. If you click "Allow" when prompted by your browser, we collect and store your browser's push subscription token to deliver these notifications.
- Push notification subscriptions are entirely voluntary and can be revoked at any time through your browser settings.
- We use the Web Push API (VAPID protocol) to send notifications directly to your browser. No third-party push service processes your data.
- You can manage or cancel push notifications from your account settings or by revoking notification permissions in your browser.
6. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
Required for the site to function. Includes session cookies for keeping you logged in and CSRF protection tokens. Cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
The _ga, _gid, and _ga_* cookies track aggregate usage patterns. Expire after 2 years (_ga) or 24 hours (_gid). Can be blocked via browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
The Meta Pixel sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc) from Facebook's servers to track conversions and support retargeting campaigns. These are third-party cookies governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. Opt out via Meta Ad Preferences.
Store your dismissed banner states, notification preferences, and UI settings. These are first-party cookies stored in localStorage. They improve your experience and do not track you across sites.

16. Affiliate Programs & Advertising Partners
SettlementRadar participates in affiliate programs and earns commissions on qualifying purchases made through affiliate links on our site. We also earn revenue from law firm advertising and newsletter sponsorships. All material financial relationships are disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Affiliate links: Some links on SettlementRadar are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is never increased because of an affiliate link. We disclose affiliate relationships at the page level and site-wide on our Affiliate Disclosure page, in compliance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255).
Law firm advertising: Law firms pay SettlementRadar flat-rate monthly fees for advertising placement. These are advertising services fees only -- not attorney referral fees, contingency arrangements, or fee-sharing agreements. SettlementRadar does not participate in attorney-client relationships and does not operate as an attorney referral service.
Newsletter sponsorships: SettlementRadar's newsletter and email communications may include sponsored content from law firms or relevant consumer-facing services. Sponsored content is labeled as such.
Affiliate and advertising revenue helps fund the free settlement directory. These relationships do not influence the independence or accuracy of settlement data in our directory, which is sourced from public records only.

We are disclosing this as required by the FTC's Guides Concerning Endorsements and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and similar consumer protection laws.
What this means for you:
- Clicking partner links is entirely optional -- they are never required to access settlement information or file a claim.
- These partnerships do not influence which settlements we list, their rankings, or the accuracy of our data.
- We select partner services based on their relevance and usefulness to users given the type of settlement being viewed.
