Finding Settlements
How to browse, search, filter, and use the map to find settlements you qualify for.
Browsing settlements
The Settlements page is your primary browsing hub. By default, settlements are sorted by deadline (soonest first) so you never miss a closing window.
Each settlement card shows:
- Company name & settlement title
- Filing deadline — highlighted urgently when within 14 days
- Estimated payout range
- Category tag (Data Breach, Employment, Financial, etc.)
- Proof Required / No Proof Required badge
- Settlement grade (A–F) based on payout reliability and court records
Searching by keyword
Use the search bar at the top of any page or on Settlements to search by company name, settlement type, or keyword (e.g. "data breach", "Apple", "wage theft").
The search index is updated daily as new settlements are added or their status changes.
Using filters
The filter panel (desktop: left sidebar; mobile: top dropdown) lets you narrow results by:
- Category — Data Breach, Employment, Financial, Consumer, Healthcare, and more
- Deadline — Closing this week, next 30 days, or any date range
- Payout range — Filter by minimum estimated payment
- Proof required — Show only settlements with no documents needed
- State — Settlements specific to your state
Combine No Proof Required + Closing This Week for the easiest wins with the most urgency.
Settlement map
The Settlement Map shows open settlements on an interactive US map, filtered by state. Click any state to see settlements specific to that region — useful for employment and real estate settlements that vary by jurisdiction.
Categories
Settlements are organized into 15+ categories. You can browse all categories or go directly to the ones most relevant to you:
Data Breach
Companies that exposed your personal data
Employment
Wage theft, unpaid overtime, misclassification
Financial
Banks, lenders, credit card companies
Consumer Products
False advertising, product defects, recalls
No proof required settlements
Many settlements allow you to claim without providing receipts or documentation — you simply attest that you bought the product or were affected. These are the fastest to file.
Browse all No Proof Required settlements, or filter your search results by checking the "No Proof Required" box in the filter panel.
