Claim Tracker
How to track the claims you've filed, set reminders, and check payment status.
Overview
The Claim Tracker is your personal dashboard for every claim you've filed. It gives you a complete picture of your filing history: what you've filed, what's pending, what's been paid, and what deadlines are coming up.
Claim Tracker is a Pro feature. Free users can track up to 3 claims.
Logging a claim
When you file a claim — either through SettlementRadar's guided filing or directly on a settlement website — log it in the tracker so you don't lose track of it:
Open the Claim Tracker
Go to My Claims → Claim Tracker.
Click "Add a Claim"
Click the + Add Claim button.
Enter claim details
Select the settlement from the list or enter it manually. Add your confirmation number, filing date, and any notes.
Save
Your claim is logged. You'll receive reminders as key dates approach.
If you file through our guided assistant, claims are automatically added to your tracker — no manual entry needed.
Claim statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Filed | You've submitted your claim. Waiting for the settlement to close and be approved by the court. |
| Pending Court Approval | The settlement is awaiting final court approval before distributions begin. |
| Approved | Court has approved the settlement. Distribution is being processed by the administrator. |
| Payment Sent | The administrator has issued payment (check, PayPal, Venmo, etc.). |
| Paid | You've confirmed receipt of payment. |
| Denied | Your claim was denied. See the denial reason and consider filing a deficiency cure. |
Deadline reminders
The Claim Tracker automatically sends reminders when:
- A settlement's filing deadline is 30 days away
- A settlement's filing deadline is 7 days away
- A settlement's filing deadline is 24 hours away
- A settlement you've filed has a new status update
Configure your reminder preferences in Account → Notifications.
Payment tracking
When a settlement enters distribution, SettlementRadar updates the tracker with expected payment dates and methods. You can also manually mark claims as paid once you receive your check or electronic payment.
Use Got Paid? Verify a Payout to report your payment — this helps the community track what real claimants are receiving.
